Current Plans for RGF

We want to be transparent about where we want this company to go.

Here's a brief synopsis of our plans.

Our Platform

We plan on remaining both on Etsy and this website for the time being. However, you'll generally find cheaper prices on here since the transaction rates aren't as high.

Our goal is to make this transition as long as possible to make sure you stay informed on where to find us.

Our Education

I'm currently studying for a BS in Biochemistry. Afterwards, I plan on getting my master's in Animal Sciences with an emphasis in Companion Animal Nutrition; potentially a PhD depending on if I'm able to discover/fund a long-term research project. With these qualifications, I'd be able to officially consider myself an animal nutritionist and be on par with the standards many major commercial companies set.

While I'd like to think my mixes are solid already, this extra education and guidance would ensure I'm not missing anything and would give me deeper insight into how your pet's body processes high quality mixes like mine. It would also offer the chance for me to research hamster nutrition on a professional level, something the public seriously lacks access to.

Our Outreach

Considering my background in online education, I know the importance of educating others about ethical pet care. RGF will serve as a crucial steppingstone in bringing ethical companion rodent care to the public.

The blog associated with this website will serve as an archive of care guides, articles, and any information any level of rodent keeper could ever want.

We also plan on attending in-person events like the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show to bring proper care to the local public. More in-person events are yet to be confirmed, but we'll keep you posted as they pop up.

Our Facility

RGF is currently an in-house operation. However, in the future, we'd love to have our own facility. This could potentially serve as an in-person storefront as well.

One of my other major life goals is to run my own wildlife rehabilitation center, so this facility would likely be a joint center to support both of those avenues. So, a good chunk of the cost of each mix would go directly to supporting local wildlife rehabilitation efforts.

This is majorly down the line; I'm talking around at least five years from now at the earliest.
